How do I prepare for surgery?
First and foremost, you must get a clean bill of health before undergoing any type of surgery. A healthy diet and maintaining yourself well hydrated is important, and avoiding alcohol and smoking is a must. Make sure to inform us of any medication you may be taking, as well.
How long does the surgery take?
Most breast augmentation surgeries take between 1 and 2 hours.
How long before I can go back to work after breast augmentation?
Some patients return to work a week or two after surgery. It depends on how quickly and how comfortable you may feel. Exercise and strenuous activity must be kept at a minimum.
Which is better: silicone or saline?
The difference between the two is a matter of preference. Silicone gel has a more natural feel than saline. Saline implants can be enlarged or reduced without removing the implant, while silicone implants would have to be replaced. Details about both will be discussed during your consultation.
How long before I see the final results?
Swelling may occur during the first week after surgery. Thereafter, your implants will accommodate to your body and somewhat reposition themselves, giving you a more natural look. This process may take a few months.
